Kpop will be losing a huge talent come November: Wheesung for his two-year mandatory military service.
Wheesung will be starting up his five week training on November 7th at 1 PM at the Nonsan Training Facility in South Chungcheong Province. He will then proceed with the two-year term that's required of all fit and able Korean national men.
Originally Wheesung was exempt from his duties due to a dislocated bone. However, after receiving regular treatment, he's now eligible to be an active-duty soldier. The singer explained, "I wanted to enlist with a healthy body so I went to the doctor, who told me that I wouldn't be able to serve my military duty in my current condition. After that, I exercised regularly and took care of my health so that I could proudly enlist as an active-duty soldier."
Before his inevitable two-year hiatus, Wheesung will be releasing a new album "They're Coming" on October 10th. Also he will be wrapping up his Two Man Show concert-- teaming up with Kim Tae-woo --with a final encore performance.
