Actress Yoon Eun Hye Joins Asian Superstar Chow Yun Fat in Chinese Historical Film.
Actress Yoon Eun Hye (26) is confirmed to star as a tragic heroine alongside Asian superstar Chow Yun Fat, Nodame Cantabiles Tamaki Hiroshi, and Taiwanese pop star and actor, Alec Su in the historical film Tong Que Tai.
Tong Que Tai is about the story of a beautiful woman who was buried alive with Cao Cao, a figure in the Chinese historical novel-chronicle Romance of the Three Kingdoms, which is based on the events surrounding the end of the Han Dynasty and the rise of the Three Kingdoms era. The story is inspired by the mystery surrounding the remains of a woman in her twenties that was found in Cao Caos tomb by the Hunan State Bureau of Cultural Relics and confirmed by the Chinese Academy of Science in 2009.
Zhao Lin Shan, a prominent Chinese director, will direct the movie and said to be the script writer. Director Zhao explained that he will tell a story based on the final days of Cao Cao, who built Tong Que Tai, at the capital of the Cao Wei state. The story will focus on his strategies and his final love.
Yoon Eun Hye will play the woman, opposite to Chow Yun Fats Cao Cao. Tamaki Hiroshi plays the eras warrior Mu Shun. Alec Su will play the Emperor Xian of the Han Dynasty, who usurped Cao Cao and his son.
The cast will begin filming in Beijing next month and because the cast were from Korea, China, Taiwan and Japan, the film is expected to come to theaters and reach audiences across the region.
