Secret Garden Wins Two Wards at Korea Drama Awards Including the Grand Prize
In 2011 Korea Drama Awards, the SBS drama Secret Garden which gathered much attention when Hyun Bin and Ha Jiwon as leads received the honor of receiving two awards—the Grand Prize and the Best Scriptwriter Award.
2011 Korea Drama Awards took place in the afternoon of the 2nd in Kyungnam, Jinjoo with Sohn Hoyoung and Choi Songhyun as MC’s. Secret Garden which created the Juwon-fever became a winner of two awards with the Grand Prize and the Best Scriptwriter Award. Sungkyunkwan Scandal which shined in the acting of the young actors such as Park Yoochun received the Best Director Award.
As for the Best Actor Award, Lee Minho who has risen as a new Korea Wave star won with City Hunter and Yum Junghwa won with Royal Family. Lee Minho won the Korea Wave Star Award and so won two awards. As for the Best Supporting Actor awards Joo Sangwook (Giant, Thorn Tree Bird) and Lee Yuri (Sparkle Sparkle Shining)both received the honor.
As for the Best New Actor awards, Kim Suhyun (Dream High) and Im Suhyang (Shingisaengdyun, Paradise Ranch) were selected. Kim Suhyun had the pleasure of winning two wards in winning also the popularity awards.
